In short
Veiloria keeps a few things in your browser so the site works: your currency, saved designs and an unfinished checkout. Google Analytics only loads if you choose “Accept all”, and we never use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.
A summary to guide you. The full text below is what applies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, keep information on your device in the same way. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.
Our approach
We use as few as we can. Everything needed for the site to work is first-party (set by Veiloria itself) and never used to follow you around the web. We use no advertising cookies, and analytics only with your permission.
Essential: always on
These make the website work and remember the choices you make on it. They don’t need consent, and they never leave your device except the consent cookie and the order cookie, which our server can read.
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| veiloria_consent | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
| veiloria:currency | The currency you chose | Until you clear it |
| veiloria:locale-chosen | The language you chose | Until you clear it |
| veiloria:checkout-draft | An unfinished checkout, so you can continue | 14 days |
| veiloria_order_std | Whether your unfinished checkout is for a Save the Date, so the order page opens on it | 14 days |
| veiloria:saved-designs | Designs you saved with the heart | Until you clear it |
| veiloria:gift-code | A gift card opened on this device, applied at checkout | Until used |
| veiloria:announce-dismissed | That you closed an announcement | Until you clear it |
When you pay, our payment provider’s secure page may set its own essential cookies for security and fraud prevention.
Analytics: only if you accept
If you choose Accept all, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and designs are visited, so we can improve them. It may set these first-party cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes visits, without identifying you by name | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Keeps the state of a visit | 2 years |
Advertising storage, advertising data and ad personalisation stay switched off. We never send names, emails or guests’ replies to Google Analytics. If you choose Essential only, Google Analytics is not loaded and its cookies are removed.
Links to other services
Buttons such as “Chat on WhatsApp”, “Open in Maps” or “Add to calendar” take you to another service, which applies its own cookies and privacy policy once you are there.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page to accept or refuse analytics at any time; we remember your choice for six months, then ask again. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings, though the site may then forget your currency, saved designs or unfinished checkout.
Changes to this policy
If we add or change a cookie, we will update this page and, where your consent is needed, ask you again.
